The Ritz Sauna and Showers

The Oregon Country Fair has been celebrating spirit and art for over 40 years. Every year, the weekend after the 4th of July, the fair reconvenes in Veneta, near Eugene Oregon. Within this fair event lies a magical place called the Ritz Sauna and Showers, the never ending art project created by George Braddock. It provides an amazing atmosphere of music and community within a 11,000 sq. ft. facility enclosing 3 dry saunas, 100 shower heads, two tub rooms, private showers, and a stage for live music above the fire pit.

Ray has worked with the Ritz for over 20 years. After each wet winter when the Ritz is under water, it takes months to restore the Ritz to it’s pristine condition for the fair. Ray’s current official title is “the keeper of the list.” With a crew of up to 120 people, Ray matches projects with each crew member’s ability. In this task he has a way of helping people expand their horizons and discover new talents they didn’t know they had. http://gbcchs.com/shapeimage_2_link_0
